Corporate Bard sought by Huboo

The return of the Corporate Bard

Amidst the gloom of the Lockdown 3.0 and a turbulent employment market, there is a young technology-driven fulfilment company in Bristol seeking a musical expert to fulfil the role of Corporate Bard.

Huboo is calling on out-of-work musicians, a sector which has been particularly hit hard during the pandemic, to join the team as Corporate Bard. The successful candidate will need to tell the stories of Huboo’s achievement and successes in song, produce medieval content that is engaging to internal and external stakeholders, create lyrics on the fly and produce content face-to-face and across social media platforms.

The history of the bard is an interesting one. In Celtic cultures the bard was a professional story teller, verse-maker, music composer, oral historian and genealogist. With the decline of living bardic tradition, the term loosened to mean a generic author – for example, William Shakespeare was known as ‘The Bard of Avon’.

Following extraordinary growth in recent months, Huboo has tripled its warehouse space to ensure it can meet demand and is recruiting for over 100 roles (the Bard being one of them), as the pandemic continues to fuel online shopping.

The Corporate Bard position is a three-month fixed contract, with a pro rata salary of £20-25k. If you’re interested in applying you’ll find the application here.
