SkuVault WMS acquired by Linnworks

Linnworks have announced the acquisition of have completed the acquisition of US based SkuVault, a provider of Inventory Management Systems (“IMS”), Order Management Systems (“OMS”), and Warehouse Management Systems (“WMS”) software solutions. Linnworks and SkuVault will be merged into one combined Company.

The transaction will combine SkuVault’s and Linnworks’ complementary strategies to deliver unprecedented ecommerce enablement and automation solutions. While we have accomplished a significant amount over the past several years, we are thrilled by the opportunities that lie in front of us as we, in partnership with the SkuVault team and our existing shareholder, Marlin Equity Partners, embark on the next stage of our growth.

It’s unclear at the moment as to how some of industry will view the acquisition. Competitors to Linnworks such as ChannelAdvisor, Sellbrite, and SolidCommerce are listed as SkuVault partners. In the longer term it’s likely some may switch to Linnworks or migrate away from SkuVault.

The combination of SkuVault and Linnworks will aim to offer the strongest IMS/OMS solution in the market, with a powerful and intuitive user experience, extensive functionality, and agile implementation and support services. You can expect a more extensive product suite with richer features and functionality spanning across inventory management, tracking, and forecasting, order management, and accurate and timely fulfillment at scale.

This will also serve to propel Linnworks US expansion, and those selling in multiple territories should benefit from wider geographic coverage, increased integrations, and deeper domain and technical expertise across Linnworks support and development functions.
