Welcome to 2020, a New Year, a new Decade and what will undoubtedly be a year of change as the UK prepares to officially leave the EU on the 31st of January with a transition deal and fully leave with a free trade deal, according to the current Government’s aim, by the 31st of December. With the bank holidays out of the way, there’s now a clear run through to Easter so hopefully the backlog of holiday sales can be shipped today and tomorrow ready for a more normal work schedule from Monday.
As always here on Tamebay, we will be focussing in 2020 on marketplaces – both the giants such as eBay, Amazon and Alibaba, the up and coming marketplaces such as OnBuy and the niche including NotOnTheHighStreet. Naturally we’ll also look at all the peripherals that come with marketplace selling covering everything from logistics to accounting, domestic and international regulation, accounting and staffing.

If you’ve not already got your tickets both conferences are well worth attending.
We’re also announcing today the return of the annual Ecommerce 5-a-side football tournament which will be held on the 4th of June. If you are a retailer, marketplace, third party provider or otherwise connected with the ecommerce world and want to enter a team we look forward to seeing you there.
